We have bridal gowns, bridesmaid and mother of the bride/groom dresses, rent tuxedos, chair covers and sashes, table coverings and decorations, and also sell invitations. We advertise as a "one stop bridal shop", so why not show you all some of our favorite wedding styles and trends, all with Savvy items and setups!
Garden weddings are something we can not get enough of! Whether the color palette is one of pastels or bright, bold colors, it is bound to look like something right out of a story book. Lace dresses, a smokey gray tuxedo, and cascading bouquets with overflowing centerpieces are a surefire way to create the most beautiful garden wedding.
For those who want a more traditional ceremony, Savvy has no shortage of ballgowns, elegant bridesmaid gowns, and classy black tuxedos. Keeping colors neutral, yet rich, adding crystals and candles, with scroll work accents on things like decor, the cake, and invitations will give you a wedding fit for a royal.
Outdoor weddings, whether in a barn, in the mountains, in the woods, etc. are still so popular and we are not ready to see them go. The rustic style though, is undergoing some a change from country rustic to rustic glamour. Try incorporating lace, intricate bead work, lots of flowers and lights, and flowing and romantic fabrics to the ever so popular burlap and you will be all set!
Having a casual get together? A backyard wedding? Or a maybe a trip to the courthouse with an intimate party afterwards? Sticking to casual fabrics for your bridesmaids, understated bridal gowns, simple coverings for chairs and tables, with some greenery and flowers to add a little something, and a navy jacket and pants with just a partially unbuttoned white shirt is a perfect way to go.
Seaside (or Lakeside) Getaway
Seaside or Lakeside weddings are a wonderful time to either bring out colors like bright pinks and corals or light blues and aquas. Tropical and exotic flowers and greens are a must have, think palm fronds, orchids, the yellow hibiscus, and the pink lokelani. For chairs, a crisp white with light gold organza sashes, is the perfect accent. A bride in flowing chiffon and a groom in a light tan suit or tux will look lovely next to the water.
Bridal season is in full swing here at Savvy. Weekends are being booked for chair covers and sashes, invitation and save the date orders are coming in, tuxes are being measured and ordered, brides are shopping, and mothers and bridesmaids are right there with them! By far our favorite season of the year, these next few months allow us to take part in helping brides and grooms with their big days and often let us see how things all come together in the 24 hours leading up to the "I Do's". So in celebration of 2016-2017 weddings, here are each of our staff's favorite bridal gowns!
Types of Bouquets
What Flowers In What Season?
Some flowers are easier to find during certain seasons, some you can access year round, while others can absolutely only be found during a very specific time frame. Here we have the approximate seasons all popular (and some more unique) wedding flowers can be found.
2016 Wedding Flower Trends
Some trends are staying, some are going, and some are just having a few little alterations to the over all concept. Either way, 2016 is bound to be a year of unique, lush bouquets that represent each individuals style, instead of traditional bouquets and flower types of previous years (and instead of mason jars every other person used during 2014 & 2015).
Care and Preparation
Bouquets, arrangements, and centerpieces make a huge statement at weddings. Before you commit to just any florist, do your research, look at their portfolios. Just because they have some beautiful arrangements, do they have experience with the particular design you are looking for? Do the flowers you want to use need to be stored in a specific way? Learn the best time for set ups to happen in order to avoid drooping flowers. Learn which flowers and greens do best in what seasons and temperatures. The last thing you want is a wilted bouquet by the time your ceremony ends or halfway through your pictures. Shop around, and remember, it is OKAY to be picky. It's your big day, so make sure every detail, including flowers, fits your dreams!
Good luck and happy flower hunting!

2015 came with the upheaval of some long standing traditions for weddings and 2016 is turning out to be bringing much of the same thing. Gone are the days of dreadful, unflattering, and boring bridesmaid uniforms. Whether or not your party wears the same color, a color of a certain palette, the same trendy dress with their own spin on accessories, or anything in between, we are officially in the era of stunning and unique bridal parties. Take a look at some of Savvy's favorite trends!
Romantic, Neutral Palettes
Soft, romantic, pastel bridesmaid dresses are styles that are timeless and can be used in any season and at any venue.
Bold Colors (and the Stand-Out Maid of Honor)
Bright and bold colors are a sure way to make late Spring and Summer weddings look amazing!
Two Toned Party
Can't decide on a single color? Why not do two?! Mix and match them or let your girls pick whatever color they want!
Metallics & Sparkles
What better theme for a Winter, New Years Eve, or late night wedding than sequins and gold? Both fun and elegant, you can't go wrong with a style like this.
Can you imagine better palette for a summertime beach wedding? Or an outdoor one in the spring time surrounded by greenery and flowers? Neither can we!
Can you think of a more cheerful looking bridal party? Neither can we! Yellow, pearls, and lace make a stunning combination for a summer wedding.
All of us that work here have been there. We each have gone through the process of trying on dresses, searching through the racks, looking for hours for our favorite dresses. Or in my case, buying one of the first ones you try on. Either way, we know your struggle and that this is your day to dress however you want and embrace your inner diva, princess, 90's kid, bohemian goddess, or starlet. So, with this year's prom in full swing, we thought it would be fun to let you all know our favorite dresses!
Come on in to visit us and find your favorite dress!
